Your Voice and Privacy

Your Voice and Privacy
Your voice recordings are personal information. This page explains how Project X / Sammy Dean Productions uses them, what you can choose to keep, and how to request deletion or change your permissions.

How we use your voice
We use your recordings to create an AI singing voice profile for your current song order. Your recordings may include individual takes and an optional spoken message to add to the end of your song. We may also create combined audio files and other working copies during processing.

Your recordings and voice profile are associated with your Project X account, order, or recording session.

Your current-order consent does not authorize unrelated uses, public release of your voice by Project X, or training a general-purpose AI model. Those uses would require separate information and permission.

Where your recordings are stored
During capture, your recordings are handled by a service hosted on Render. They are then transferred to Project X’s controlled PC library.
We verify the transferred files before requesting removal of the temporary Render-side working copies. The verified recordings and voice profile are retained according to your choices below.

Keeping your profile for future gifts
Saving your recordings and voice profile for future orders is optional. Choosing this option allows you to order more personalized songs without recording again.

If you do not choose future storage, we delete your recordings and voice profile from active Project X systems and the local master library within 3 calendar days after your current order is complete. This short period allows us to resolve technical problems with that order.

If you choose future storage, we keep your verified recordings and profile until you withdraw that permission or close your account. We then remove them from active systems and the local master library within 3 calendar days.

Our optional improvement program
You may separately choose to let Project X use your recordings and voice profile for internal development, testing, and evaluation of the voice capture and singing conversion process. This may include listening to samples and comparing conversion results.

Participation is completely voluntary and unpaid. Declining does not affect your current order. Permission for improvement use is separate from permission to save your profile for future purchases.

If you select improvement use, recordings and profiles needed for that purpose may be retained separately from future-order storage. You can withdraw this permission by contacting us.

The specific retention period for improvement copies will be added to this page as that information becomes available.

What deletion means for backups
Deleting recordings from active systems may not immediately remove copies contained in existing backups.

Render publishes different backup schedules depending on the storage service used:

  • Render Postgres: Paid databases provide a recovery window of 3 days on Hobby workspaces or 7 days on Pro and higher. Render-generated logical backup exports are retained for 7 days after creation.

  • Render persistent disks: Snapshots are created daily and are available for at least 7 days. Render’s published documentation does not specify a maximum retention period for these snapshots.

  • Render’s default temporary filesystem: Files stored there are lost when the service restarts or redeploys.

The applicable schedule depends on where a particular file is stored. These provider schedules do not establish an exact deletion deadline for every voice recording or profile. Backup copies may remain recoverable after active copies have been removed.

Change your choices or request deletion
To withdraw future-storage or improvement permission, request deletion, or ask a privacy question, email:

sdp.projectx.contact@gmail.com

Include the email address associated with your Project X account and your order or recording-session reference. Do not attach voice recordings to your email.

We will verify your request and identify the recordings, voice profile, working files, and improvement copies covered by it. We will confirm which active copies have been removed and explain any applicable backup-retention limits. Sending a request does not itself confirm that deletion has been completed.

Updates to this information
This page and the full voice consent document will be updated to include all required information as it becomes available, including further details about storage, service providers, improvement-copy retention, and backup deletion.

Please read the full Consent to Record and Use Your Voice document before recording.
